A mod for Minecraft to make the yearly Minecraft phase more chaotic and unique.
Hardcore Together listens to all player deaths on the server. If one player dies, the rest of the server dies as well, ending “the run.”
It’s a strong shift from the traditional “let’s all build something cool together” and leans heavily into “can we all make it to the Ender Dragon together without dying?”
Whenever somebody dies in this game mode, every player in the server will die at the same moment. I opted for this approach over a “shared healthbar” because of the surprise element.
Whether someone is silently dying off in the middle of nowhere, or you hear someone yell out “Oh no!” and moments later everyone’s met with the death screen wondering what happened, you’re never really certain how close to death someone is unless they tell you.

If you’re the one to die in this game mode, your name will be marked red with skulls around it, reminding everyone of who exactly is responsible for their loss of progress.
It’s a purely cosmetic feature; there’s no actual punishment tied to this. (Other than being shamed for being trash at Minecraft)
A friend and I joked about playing Hardcore Minecraft together to see who would die first. We both knew we were not cut out for it, and it made me realize this could be a fun game mode.
It turns the game into more of a bite-sized experience, where each run is likely to end quicker than anyone anticipates. There’s no real commitment to the world, you’re just playing the game with your friends.
